Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has undergone further tests on his ankle injury after failing to come to a conclusion after tests on Tuesday. The Norwegian playmaker
is hopeful the injury is not a long-term problem and further tests on Wednesday should provide a clearer picture of the severity of the injury. Arsenal
have not given a timeframe for how long Odegaard will be out, but it is clear he is unlikely to be available for Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham. Odegaard
flew back to London on Tuesday after sustaining the injury while playing for Norway against Austria.
The 25-year-old has undergone initial tests but the initial results are inconclusive as his ankle is still swollen.
They hope further tests today will provide a clearer picture of Odegaard’s injury.
Norway’s national team doctor Ole Sand previously ruled the player out of action as a serious ankle fracture and is likely to be out for at least three weeks.
After the Spurs game, the Gunners face Atalanta in the Champions League in midweek, โปรโมชั่น ufabet before taking on Manchester City next weekend.
